Frank retired from the Marines
in 1990. The adventure of the Cook, Baker, Candlestick Maker ended then. Frank served in Vietnam, Beirut,
Bogota, and throughout the Middle East. Although the Cook, Baker, Candlestick Maker gives
an exciting glimpse into the military and special operations arena, it also provides insight into the private
and personal events that occured simultaneously with his family.

The
thrust of Cook, Baker, Candlestick Maker is a mix of the technical development of Breaching, Explosive Entry
and personal/operational experiences. As a result of Frank's exposure to the National Assets he was
brought back to the Corps to stand up and train the first MAU(SOC), the beginning of the current MAR(SOC)
and MSOB's. Walk with him as he fought the battles of bureaucracy and the blocking maneuvers created by
the old guard within the Corps that resisted the transition to the point that Frank faced
an Article 32, pre- Court Martial hearing.

The second book is underway which proves to be a continuation of Frank's adventures as a
private security specialist, body guard and trainer.

Maj Al Hayes, USMC (Ret) An EOD Officer and mentor.
He is the "Skipper" that made the ultimate sacrifice that fateful day when his new crapper was reduced to splinters.
He has been my leader as a Marine and as a man. Many strive to achieve his level but seldom do. His competence
and leadership are unmatched. Miss Jane will always be the "1st Lady of Marine EOD." I'm sure that she
was a major influence on "The Skipper's" style and grace. Thank you sir !!
